I'll overwhelm 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the novice is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As both boxers participated in the customary confrontation, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
